JD Dresses Down Students at ASU

Friday, November 3rd, 2006

In an interview with the ASU Web Devil, JD Hayworth shows his true colors.  He talks down to the student rag in the following:

What are the most important issues for ASU? (asked by Web Devil)

I think funding for continuing research. I think it's vitally important … in terms of just research investment from the federal government coming to ASU, to continue to move it into distinction as a major research institution. We want research and want ASU as a major learning center in the 21st century to be second to none.

When I think of cutting edge research, I think of stem cells.  JD is squarely against stem cell research as funded by the federal government.  Just what "investment from the federal government" does JD Hayworth think is coming to ASU?  Perhaps some weapons research or chemical weapon research….

When asked why ASU students should vote for JD Hayworth, he cites the research reasons once again:

Why should ASU students vote for you?

I mean what I say and I say what I mean. I've been one of the best advocates for increased research at ASU. I've worked hard so we've been prepared for the 21st century. I think I have a proven record for success.

I mean what I say and I say what I meant…isn't that a FogHorn LegHorn quote?  I challenge JD to name one political action he has put forth - yet sponsored even, that has brought reasearch dollars to ASU.

Mama always said she drowned the dumb ones…perhaps JD's mom let this one go because he was squealing so loud.

Hayworth Jew Bashing Again

Tuesday, October 24th, 2006

According to the AZ Republic, Jonathan and Irit Tratt were sent by JD to address the National Council of Jewish Women candidates at a synagog in North Phoenix, the Temple Beth Israel, last week.  Since the Tratt's have given $7,800 to JD's campaing in 2005, JD must know them pretty well to trust them to represent him at an important event.

JD's relationship with Phoenix Jewish population has been tenuous since the Jewish News of Greater Phoenix published an editorial last July about Hayworth's praise of Henry Ford, a know anti-Semite, in his book, Whatever It TakesIt's amazing JD did not try to attend himself if he was so concerned about what the Jewish population thinks of him.

The Tratt's were not met with a friendly crowd during their speech and did not manage the adversarial crowd very well.  Mr. Tratt at was goated into saying that Hayworth, a Southern Baptist Christian, is a "more observant Jew" than Jewish members of the audience.

Wow. That's a real campaign killer.  So much so it propted a walk out at the event.

The AZ Republic quoted JD's response on the incident:

If you think writing a piece on something that occurred outside my district is valuable, then please go ahead, but I have no comment, because I don't know.

Essentially JD's excuse was since the offended Jews in question were not in his district they do not matter.  What about the Hispanics in your district?  Do they get to stay while you deport and harass the rest of them?  The sooner JD's term in Congress is over, the better off the people of Arizona and District 5 will be.

Hey JD! Learn to Spell, Dumbass!

Friday, September 15th, 2006

In numerous email press releases and even on his own issues page, JD has misspelled Islamofascist as Islamofacist.  How can he even portend he knows what it means when he can't spell it?  F-A-S-C-I-S-T  .  Quit leaving out the "S", you dumbass!  I'd like to think a Congressman that is supposed to represent me is at least as smart as your average 12th grader.

While we are at it, the automatic audio on your house home page is incredibly annoying.

JD Twists Republican Message…..Again

Wednesday, July 19th, 2006

On JD's web site he erroneously states that the tax cuts are responsible for what JD called a “reduced deficit”.  The true definition of “reduced deficit” in this case means that the deficit is not as bad as they were expecting.

If you go into the hole by $3 billion instead of the $5 billions you expected, is that a good thing?  JD seems to think so.

JD is quoted as saying the following:

"The best way to reduce the deficit is to reduce spending and grow the economy. And the best way to do that is to let hard-working Americans keep more of their own money," said Rep. Hayworth.

There is another lie.  The tax cuts Hayworth sponsored benefit the wealthiest 0.5% of the nation.  Paris Hilton will not pay a dime to inherit millions of dollars thanks to Hayworth.  The super-rich hardly represent the majority of “hard-working Americans” JD exploits in his quote above.

JD Hayworth is continuing his agenda of shifting the tax burden from the super-rich Paris Hilton’s to the folks who have worked and saved all their lives to get what they have.  Interest rates are rising because of this “War Now, Pay Later” policy Hayworth supports.

How much has your house payment gone up in the past couple of months?  Send JD Hayworth and email and thank him for supporting reckless policies that caused the rate hikes.

JD Rides on Sinking Ship

You, as a resident of District 5, what have you gained from this war in Iraq?  Inflation?  An unstable stock market? Is the yellow troops ribbon scratching your car trunk?  Compare that against the loss of 2,500 American soldier's lives, 18,358 other soldiers wounded in action, and 300 Billion dollars and counting.  Is it an equitable trade?

You may believe the US is stopping terrorism by fighting this war in Iraq, however just this month Al Queda planned to storm the Canadian Parliament building and behead the Prime Minister.  One year ago this month the London Subway was bombed by Al Queda killing 40 and wounding 700.  How is a war in Iraq going to stop the uncurtailed flow of immigrants through the Mexican and Canadian borders?

When Governor Napalatano wanted to rename the Sqaw Peak Parkway, Piestawa Peak Parkway after the first woman killed in Iraq, everyone jumped up and down and called it a political stunt.  However, when a resolution comes to congress (specifically HR 861) proclaiming that the Congress refuses to attempt to end a war of questionable merit, that reaches the very bottom of the barrel.

And who will you find at the very bottom of this barrel of ignorance?  Why, that would be JD Hayworth.  When the composer of HR 861 tried to sweeten the deal on staying indefinitely in Iraq by throwing in some arbitrary language about honoring our troops, JD took the bait hook, line, and sinker.  JD's site quotes him with regard to HR 861:

"The American soldier does not falter, does not hide, and does not quit. Neither should we. That is why I voted in favor of this resolution.

"Terrorism doesn't have an expiration date. September 11th made us realize that the cancer that is terrorism is now a part of our world and must be eradicated no matter how long takes. You don't put a timetable on the safety and security of our nation and citizens."

According to JD because of September 11th (a terrorist act that even our President admits had absolutely nothing to do with Iraq) has simply occurred, we must stay and fight in Iraq forever.  Right.  That makes sense.
