JD Delcared a “Bully” by the AZ Republic

Friday, October 27th, 2006

In an astonishing OPEd in the Arizona Republic today, JD Hayworth is exposed an uncivilized bully.  For every election since Hayworth has been running, the Arizona Republic has firmly endorsed his candidacy, but this time they unequivocally endorse his opponent.

A quote from the article:

And that scalding approach doesn't help get anything done…It is high time to hit this matter squarely: J. D. Hayworth is a bully. He may not yet have reached the point where you can't take him anywhere, but you certainly can't take him to a calm, civil discussion.

The Republic goes on to say the JD Hayworth no longer represents the values and views of Arizona's 5th Congressional district.  They called JD's book "a quickie border-security book" designed to divide the community on the issue.  The Republic analysis of Hayworth is that his past "cartoonish" attitude has turned exploitive and angry as Hayworth "shamelessly" exploits the immigration issue.

A Limerick to go with your Guinness

JD thought he was hip
For lobbyists he's do a back flip
the doc says, "Your fat,
we'll take care of that,
but we really should staple your lip."

—————————————

JD likes his cash
That he knows he can raise in a flash
with Abramhoff he would take
all the Indians could make
in order to pad his own stash

————————————————-

JD though it made sense
that immigration worked as henced,
"They are all greedy slobs,
that want the best jobs,
and that's why they're jumping the fence."

—————————————————-

JD was awfully quick
to dismiss stem cells with a flick
"We can't use these children
to save all the millions,
unless my family get's sick."

——————————————

JD loves corporations so
that he wanted to give them some dough
His tax cuts were deep
which made millionaires weep
and say, "Thank you, you government ho!"

Immigration Problem Happened on JD’s Watch

Wednesday, July 5th, 2006

JD Hayworth has been in Congress for about 10 years now.  Did this immigration problem happen overnight?  No, it happened on JD's watch.

In a transparent effort to distance himself from President Bush, JD has been stumping for a solution to the immigration problem this past election year, including having his staff ghost write a book about it on time paid for by the American People.

But what has he actually done?  JD has yet to present a bill to Congress on the issue that has garnered even meager support among his own party.  While Hayworth has sat back and done nothing about this issue, it has just festered and turned into a real security concern.

In light of a real challenge to Hayworth's safe Congressional haven, JD is crying foul to his opponent claiming his challenger has "stolen" his ideas on immigration. Hayworth has started a spin campaign having his supporters write to the Arizona Republic to spout the same cowardly message his own press people are trying to propagate – that his challenger has stolen his ideas.

Perhaps the message is right, but the current messenger needs to stop blowing hot air and actually do something about the problem.  He's had 10 years already.  Perhaps Hayworth was too busy counting the money he has illegally received from convicted felon, Jack Abramoff to really care.

Too bad it takes a real challenge to get Hayworth to grab a crying towel and get his fat butt in gear.  What else will Hayworth "let slide" for another 10 years?

Hayworth continues his One-Dimensional Campaign on Immigration

Wednesday, May 17th, 2006

When does JD speak without thinking about the consequences?  The internet does not have enough bandwidth to list the ways, but Hayworth is helping himself out on his free, government sponsored web page

He continues to lament efforts to fix the immigration problem by presenting his own one-dimensional solutions to a very complex problem.  Instead of participating with Congress on trying to fix the immigration problem in this Country, JD has chosen to sit back and criticize.  His latest catch phrase of the day is calling the efforts of Congress "a lick and a smile".

Nice snap, but where's the beef?

What else would Hayworth do other than build a billion dollar wall, throw border-crossers in already crowded prisions, and have the national guard shoot them on site on the way to this country? Again, JD is good at complaining, but his solutions are one dimensional.

  • Who is going to pay to build the prisons JD wants to throw all these people in?  The taxpayers.
  • Who is going to pay for that 20-foot wall (when the immigrants have 21-foot ladders)?  The taxpayers.
  • How much is the going to cost?  JD does not care because his plan does not go past square one.  He's all mouth and no depth.

And just as a reminder:

  • How long are we going to continue to pay for a worthless war in Iraq?  (Remember that, JD?)

The cost of that war would have built a wall around the world.

JD Promotes Isolationism

Monday, May 15th, 2006

The Immigration process in the Country is broken.  Because of this the Senate is trying to alleviate some of the current problems with solutions such as caps on visas based on a per County basis rather than volume of applications (eg, Mexico has many more applicants than Switzerland), and alleviation of the current backlog of green card applications by issuing temporary cards.

While the Senate is trying to do something about the problem, JD is fighting even the main stream Republicans by promoting isolationism.  Hayworth’s mantra is painting legitimate immigration as amnesty.  Hayworth promotes ridiculous solutions such as building multi-billion dollar walls that would be worthless waste of money in the long run.  He spends more time critizing Arizona's governor than trying to solve the immigration problem he holds so dear.

JD Hayworth wants to close the borders to even legitimate immigration because of fear.  Hayworth told the Arizona Republic today that streamlining the immigration process as proposed by the Senate “will be an invitation to fraud on a massive scale.”

Hayworth’s only apparent action thus far is to promote fear of immigrants, mostly through his new book, “Whatever It Takes”.  Hayworth is quick to criticize the Congress for tying to tackle the problem, but it’s a fact that JD has not proposed one line of legislation aimed at fixing the problem.

It's easy to sit back and complain.  Let's see a little less lip from JD and a little more action on solving this problem.
