JD Twists Republican Message…..Again

Wednesday, July 19th, 2006

On JD's web site he erroneously states that the tax cuts are responsible for what JD called a “reduced deficit”.  The true definition of “reduced deficit” in this case means that the deficit is not as bad as they were expecting.

If you go into the hole by $3 billion instead of the $5 billions you expected, is that a good thing?  JD seems to think so.

JD is quoted as saying the following:

"The best way to reduce the deficit is to reduce spending and grow the economy. And the best way to do that is to let hard-working Americans keep more of their own money," said Rep. Hayworth.

There is another lie.  The tax cuts Hayworth sponsored benefit the wealthiest 0.5% of the nation.  Paris Hilton will not pay a dime to inherit millions of dollars thanks to Hayworth.  The super-rich hardly represent the majority of “hard-working Americans” JD exploits in his quote above.

JD Hayworth is continuing his agenda of shifting the tax burden from the super-rich Paris Hilton’s to the folks who have worked and saved all their lives to get what they have.  Interest rates are rising because of this “War Now, Pay Later” policy Hayworth supports.

How much has your house payment gone up in the past couple of months?  Send JD Hayworth and email and thank him for supporting reckless policies that caused the rate hikes.

Immigration Problem Happened on JD’s Watch

Wednesday, July 5th, 2006

JD Hayworth has been in Congress for about 10 years now.  Did this immigration problem happen overnight?  No, it happened on JD's watch.

In a transparent effort to distance himself from President Bush, JD has been stumping for a solution to the immigration problem this past election year, including having his staff ghost write a book about it on time paid for by the American People.

But what has he actually done?  JD has yet to present a bill to Congress on the issue that has garnered even meager support among his own party.  While Hayworth has sat back and done nothing about this issue, it has just festered and turned into a real security concern.

In light of a real challenge to Hayworth's safe Congressional haven, JD is crying foul to his opponent claiming his challenger has "stolen" his ideas on immigration. Hayworth has started a spin campaign having his supporters write to the Arizona Republic to spout the same cowardly message his own press people are trying to propagate – that his challenger has stolen his ideas.

Perhaps the message is right, but the current messenger needs to stop blowing hot air and actually do something about the problem.  He's had 10 years already.  Perhaps Hayworth was too busy counting the money he has illegally received from convicted felon, Jack Abramoff to really care.

Too bad it takes a real challenge to get Hayworth to grab a crying towel and get his fat butt in gear.  What else will Hayworth "let slide" for another 10 years?
