Disloyal JD Creates Working Poor in Ameria

Wednesday, November 30th, 2005

After kissing the Don’s ring at fundraiser for Senator Kyl this week (attending when he did not want to be seen with Bush), JD shows his disloyalty again by critizing Monday’s call by President Bush to make a new guest-worker program part of any plan to deal with the problems of illegal border crossers. (as reported by Capitol Media Services)

It is a known fact of macroeconomics that there must be lower paid workers or the system will fail.  Since the Republicans will not allow an increase in the minimum wage, and JD does not want to allow guest workers to fill the void, JD’s plan will create a void in the working sector of this country that must be filled by citizens.  In order to eliminate this void more Americans must come down to a level equivelent to the working poor.

"The translation south of the border is this: You’d better come, you’d better get while the gettin’s good, y’all come because they’re going to make accommodations, they’re going to offer amnesty," Hayworth said.

Y’all?  I know JD is from North Carolina, but I doubt the Mexicanas understand that dielect.

"It may not have been the president’s intent," Hayworth said. "But I guarantee you that was the message that was heard south of the border."

That’s tough talk coming from a good Republican soldier two weeks ago, forcing a worthless vote in the Senate just to irritate Dems.

"We can take a look at streamlining regulation," Hayworth responded. But he said a new guest-worker program is not the answer.

JD does not have an economic answer to the immagration situation here.  He just has a lot of tough talk that does not offer any solutions.  That type of talk just mirrors his fearless leader, President Bush, and JD is quick to point that out himself.

JD needs to look into the mirror and come up with some viable solutions rather than critizing his own party. Who is he loyal to anyway?  Probably just JD.

JD Values Iraqi Republic More than American Soldiers

Tuesday, November 29th, 2005

When Chris Matthews, MSNBC Hardball, asked JD (on November 22) what he thinks the US will accomplish in Iraq if we are there a few more years, JD answers:

HAYWORTH: I think you will see the fruition of a constitutional republic.  We will have elections within the month in Iraq.  They’ve already gone to the polls twice.  And despite all the naysayers and despite the doom and gloom, and yes despite the fact we have paid a price in terms of lives in Iraq, we are seeing a new republic emerge.

JD obviously thinks American lives are worth using in order to obtain a new republic in Iraq.  Iraq has never done anyting for me, so why the heck should we send American men and women off to die for a country that had done nothing for us?

It is what it is Unless it is what it isn’t…

Chris Matthews of Hardball asks JD, "What do you think the vice president was saying today (in his speech)"

"What he was saing today quiet clearly, Chris, was that the scene in Iraq is what it is." - JD on Hardball, November 21, 2005.

JD’s Spin Revealed

Tuesday, November 29th, 2005

JD is oh so predictable.  After "masterminding" the stupid Repbulican pet trick in the house on November 18, JD has been making the talk show circuit.  He is not, however, without a canned bag-o-rethoric.

His big excuse is he does not have a crystal ball.  The next big excuse for the Iraq war is the UN-led effort in Bosnia under the Clinton Administration.  The Bush regime hates the UN (see John Bolton)….the comparison is ridiculous, but JD spews it every chance he gets:

On CNN, talking with Paula Zahn, November 21:

ZAHN: When — when will U.S. troops finally be out of Iraq?

HAYWORTH: I don’t know. I don’t have a crystal ball.

I do know we have been in the Bosnian theater, in the Balkans, for some 10 years. And there seems to be no scrutiny of that, when we were promised a very short time there.

On MSNBC, Hardball with Chris Mathews, November 22, 2005:

MATTHEWS:  Congressman Hayworth, how long - well, let me ask you the open the question and be honest about it, what do you see u accomplishing over there in the next three or four years if we’re there that long?

HAYWORTH: …yes, despite the fact that we have paid a price in terms of lives in Iraq, we are seeing a new republic emerge….But it’s fair to point out, we’ve spend a decade in the Bosnian theater when we were told by a previous regime, a previous administration, we would be out before Christmas of a year’s duration.

Later that interview we have the crystal ball excuse:

MATTHEWS: When are people going to get a vision of what the future looks like (in Iraq), Mr. Hayworth?

HAYWORTH:  Chris, I don’t have a crystal ball, but what I can tell you is you laid it out in the question in terms of establishment of the government….

JD has nothing.  He thinks he’s a pig on the Animal Farm, but he’s really a sheep.

JD Under Investigation for Bribes

Tuesday, November 29th, 2005

More than a dozen members of Congress, including JD Hayworth, traded legislation endorsements for "donations" from infamous lobyist, Jack Abramoff.  Money Abramoff’s firm received from Indian tribes was supposed to buy them help to win federal school construction money (ie, "pork barrel" money).

The House Appropriations subcomittee is investigating the affair.  Leading the investigation is Chairman Charles Taylor, a Republican from North Carolina, and Senator Byron Dorgan of North Dakota, the top Democrat on the committee.

JD Hayworth wrote a letter to the Bush administration urging the renewal of a program that provided tribes federal money for building schools, and then worked the congressional budget process to ensure it happened, according to documents obtained by The Associated Press.

JD Hayworth received a total of $64,520 from Abramoff’s lobying firm between 2001 and 2004.  A former federal prosecutor said the size of the donations and their close proximity to official actions could impact the current Justice Department investigation of Abramoff and his firm.  Abramoff has been charged with fraud in a Florida case and an Abramoff associate has pleaded guilty in Washington and is cooperating with investigators.

Larry VanHoose, spokesman for JD offered a full explaination:  “I can assure you the letter was not related to the contributions he had accepted previously or following that letter. He does not do quid pro quo business.”

Well, that explains everything.
