JD Finally Gives Up

November 15th, 2006

On JD's website he finally posted his goodbye.  It is the end of an era in Arizona.  There is no doubt that JD will head straight to K Street to make his fortune as a lobbyist for big oil or drug companies.  After all, Tom Delay and Rick Santorum did their best to stack the management of those K Street firms with loyal Republicans.

Day 5 Count…

November 13th, 2006

JD is still behind by 6,000 votes - the same number he was behind the day of the vote. As the absentee votes are counted, his lag remains steady. The Arizona Republic reports that more than 180,000 ballots are left and are counted at a rate of 25,ooo per day. JD has another week to live in denial.

The Last JD Saga

November 12th, 2006

In public JD will pout.
In private he’ll sob and he’ll shout,
“My people have failed me,
My constituency has nailed me!
The buggers have voted me out!”

“The power! The fame! The food!
All that money I could have pursued!
I’m so disapointed
I won’t be annointed
to go back and screw over you!

“I guess I acted unwise
in a way that the people despise
but it’s George I will blame
for upsetting my game
and taking away my grand prize!”

“Damn Democrats!”, JD will sob
but the Dems won the wise-voter mob.
It’ Harry that will bow
up in Washington now
and he’ll perform a much better job!

So here is a lesson that’s new:
be honest and humble and true.
If you act like a jerk
while doing your work
America will come after you!

Rush Defends JD’s Loss with Lies

November 9th, 2006

Rush Limbaugh and JD Hayworth must be true buddies to the end.  Rush had tried to make JD feel better by spouting off that the reason JD lost was because he is in a Democratic district.  Below is a quote from RL's November 9 show:

RUSH: J.D. Hayworth is from Arizona. Now, he's one of the Republican freshmen of '94, and he won that race by a very slim margin, because it's a Democrat district.

Rush must have popped a couple of Hydrocodone earlier because District 5 is about as Republican as it gets.  All of the State Senators and Representatives elected were Republican.  Republican Senator Kyle won District 5.  Quite simply, District 5 was sick of JD's ranting and voted him out of office.  JD's loss has stunned a lot of folks, but making up lies that justify it is simply in bad taste.

Team JD Gets Ready to Stack the Deck

November 9th, 2006

According to the AZRepublic, the Republican Party is rounding up 72 Republican volunteers to train in the event the Arizona Superior Court rules for a hand count. The Republicans will then swoop in as election workers, trained and selected by JD, to compare the signatures of voters casting early ballots with the signatures on their registration cards.

The special training the JD Republicans receive will include identifying who won the vote before verifying the signature.  This special training will allow them to weed out all those pesky early ballots in his opponants favor.

Early mail and election day votes cast in District 5 number about 150,000.  This vote shows JD losing by 4% of the vote.  The JD camp told the AZ Republic they think there are another 100,000 provisional and absentee ballots yet to be counted.  Nobody knows the number of these ballots left, but if this were the case, JD would have to flip his 46% to 50% loss, to a 53% to 47% lead in these ballots.  Considering the votes taken by the Libertarian candidate, that ratio will probably have to be higher.  That's not likely.
